IEP Specialist – Fully Remote (Contract)

About the role
Mercor is seeking an experienced Special Education/IEP specialist to evaluate AI‑generated educational artifacts. This fully remote contract position offers the opportunity to apply deep subject‑matter expertise to improve AI model outputs for documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
Key responsibilities
- Assess AI‑generated artifacts against domain‑specific quality rubrics.
- Identify factual, aesthetic, and presentation errors in various formats.
- Provide clear, structured written feedback to enhance AI model performance.
- Apply special‑education expertise to grade outputs accurately.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.
Required profile
- 5+ years of professional experience in Special Education/IEP.
- Native or professional fluency in English.
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) preferred.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Google Workspace proficiency, especially Google Slides.
What we offer
- Contract rate of $80–$120 per hour.
- Fully remote work with flexible scheduling.
