Indirect Tax Senior Manager

About the role

This senior position leads the delivery of complex VAT and indirect tax advisory projects for a diverse portfolio of clients in Belfast. You will act as a trusted adviser, manage key relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex VAT and indirect tax advisory assignments across multiple sectors.
• Manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring high‑quality service and long‑term relationships.
• Provide commercially focused VAT advice, including planning, structuring, risk management and technical matters.
• Review technical work to maintain the highest standards of accuracy.
• Mentor and develop members of the Indirect Tax team.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and support client growth.
• Collaborate with partners, directors and other practice areas to develop the firm’s indirect tax offering.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and thought‑leadership initiatives.

Required profile

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified.
• Significant experience in VAT and indirect tax within a professional services environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT legislation, case law and recent developments.
• Proven track record of leading complex advisory projects and managing substantial client portfolios.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to identify business development opportunities.
