Industrial Mechanic II

About the role

StandardAero is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic II to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of plant equipment in an aerospace MRO environment. The role involves hands‑on mechanical and electrical work, shift coverage, and collaboration with production, vendors, and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, stock, and manage spare parts and tools to ensure timely maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs according to schedule, suggesting improvements where possible.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Support production on a shift basis and ensure spare parts availability for major processes.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to enhance equipment operating effectiveness.
• Coordinate with vendors, site contractors, and external specialists.
• Carry out maintenance in compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals.
• Assemble, install, and condition new machines and monitor sensors/equipment.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance of pumps, motors, grinding and milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and analyse technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays.
• Relevant qualification such as Industrial Automated Technician, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical or Electrical background is advantageous.
