Information Security Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to lead our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and drive cyber risk, governance and compliance initiatives. Working in a hybrid model across Ireland, you will partner with senior stakeholders to enhance our security posture and support secure business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve an ISO 27001‑aligned ISMS.
• Lead governance, risk and compliance programmes, including cyber risk assessments and risk register maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to GDPR and recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF and SOC 2.
• Support audits, certifications and regulatory requirements.
• Drive AI governance and emerging technology risk management.
• Promote security best practices and enable secure cloud and digital transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Information Security, Cyber Security or GRC.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2 and GDPR.
• Proven experience leading audits, risk assessments and compliance programmes.
• Technical IT or infrastructure security background is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor) are advantageous.
• Must be based in Ireland and hold an EU passport or Stamp 4 visa.
