Installation Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Installation Engineer to join its European Installation team. You will be responsible for installing, assembling, connecting and testing semiconductor production equipment for customers across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent installation tasks including mechanical assembly, electrical connections and robot calibrations.
• Follow checklists and procedures, test equipment, and troubleshoot issues using diagnostic techniques.
• Coordinate with senior engineers and customers, report status, hours worked and non‑conformances.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and cost.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or similar.
• Ability to travel up to 75 % of the time across Europe and work autonomously.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
