Instructor/Supervisor for Adults with Intellectual Disability

About the role

Corlann – West Region is expanding its day‑service provision in Gort, County Galway. The Instructor/Supervisor will deliver educational, social, vocational and recreational programmes for adults with intellectual disabilities, including autism and complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive day‑service programme covering personal care, meals, hygiene and wellbeing.
• Provide one‑to‑one community support and coordinate evening activities, family support and social groups.
• Act as a key worker, building links with local community groups, micro‑enterprises and external partners.
• Support staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including team leaders, service coordinators and GRETB tutors.
• Ensure compliance with health‑sector standards and personal outcome measures.

Required profile

• Level 6 qualification relevant to the health sector.
• Minimum 1 year experience in intellectual disability services or day‑service settings.
• Full clean manual Irish driver’s licence.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated flexibility, communication and teamwork abilities.
