Integrations Specialist – Technical Interfacing Lead

About the role

The role supports a major Electronic Health Record (EHR) transformation programme for a leading private healthcare provider in Ireland. As the Technical Interfacing Lead, you will analyse, design and deliver third‑party interface implementations across multiple hospital sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project plans, tasks, timelines and estimations for the interfacing team.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues and provide regular status updates.
• Develop and implement third‑party interfaces in collaboration with application vendors.
• Lead technical analysis and support requirement gathering with stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
• Work closely with EHR programme leads, project managers, SMEs and technical teams.
• Support testing activities and troubleshoot interfacing issues.
• Act as escalation point for complex integration‑related problems.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Computer Science, IT, Electronic Engineering or similar, with 3+ years in a comparable role, or extensive healthcare EHR implementation experience.
• Previous experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, detail‑oriented and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with HL7 standards and integrations.
• Experience implementing and modifying HL7 interfaces within integration engines.
• Proficiency in managing interface engines and coding HL7 input/output messages.
• Strong technical documentation and writing skills.
