Inventory Coordinator

About the role

The Inventory Coordinator will join a leading FMCG manufacturer in Thurles, supporting the Head of Procurement. This permanent, full‑time position is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring smooth production through effective dry‑goods store management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control dry‑goods inventory, including ingredients, packaging materials and PPE.
• Place weekly and monthly stock orders to prevent stock‑out situations.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates and product availability, escalating issues as needed.
• Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Receive, label, allocate and store all stock in the correct locations.
• Oversee deliveries, including unloading, checking and organising stock within the store area.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems (MERP/CSB) and update data regularly.
• Utilise Excel and reporting tools to support inventory management.
• Ensure stock locations are correctly maintained and processes are followed.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to meet daily requirements.
• Provide routine stock query support and assist the Head of Procurement with continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in inventory, stock control, stores or materials management, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing deliveries and stock movement processes.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Professional communication style with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to support business needs flexibly and a desire to develop within a growing organisation.

Required skills

• ERP systems (MERP/CSB) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Forklift operation experience.
