ISO 27001 Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking an ISO 27001 Internal Auditor to join a remote‑first team supporting organisations across Ireland. You will lead end‑to‑end internal audit cycles, assess security controls, and prepare customers for external certification audits.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full internal audit lifecycle, from kickoff to final reporting and customer readiness for certification.
• Review customer evidence against ISO 27001 controls and identify gaps or non‑conformities.
• Conduct clear, solution‑focused discussions with customers to explain findings and recommend remediation.
• Produce concise audit reports that translate technical gaps into business impact.
• Manage multiple audits simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines.
• Maintain strict independence between audit and implementation activities.
• Expand knowledge of related frameworks such as TISAX and ISO 42001 and help develop repeatable audit methodologies.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of professional experience in information security or compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with at least 10 independently completed ISO 27001 internal audits.
• ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification from PECB or an equivalent recognised body.
• Practical experience using modern Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
