IT Administrator

About the role

The IT Administrator will provide day‑to‑day operational support for all IT systems across shore offices, terminals and onboard vessels. The role ensures that business‑critical platforms, crew devices, networks and endpoints remain reliable, secure and well maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers, PCs, laptops and other endpoint devices.
• Configure and monitor cloud resources.
• Provide first‑line support to staff and crew, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and act as escalation point for the Level 1 Service Desk.
• Maintain network connectivity (LAN/Wi‑Fi, VPN, satellite) in collaboration with the network team.
• Administer user accounts, permissions and email systems (Microsoft 365, Active Directory).
• Perform software updates, patch management and backups.
• Monitor IT systems to ensure high availability and security.
• Assist with IT inventory management, procurement and support of projects on vessels and at shore offices.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 + years of experience in IT support or administration, preferably in maritime, transport or multi‑site environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop OS, Microsoft 365, networking and basic server administration.
• Experience with help‑desk ticketing systems and IT documentation.
