IT Infrastructure Engineer – Hybrid (Dublin/Kilkenny)

About the role

Tirlán is launching a major IT transformation and needs an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing internal team. Working in a hybrid model from Dublin (Citywest) or Kilkenny, you will maintain the company’s data‑centre infrastructure and coordinate with a managed service provider to ensure reliable, secure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the managed services provider to install, configure and maintain servers, storage and operating systems in the data centre.
• Oversee core Microsoft IT infrastructure components such as Active Directory, ensuring security, availability and optimal performance.
• Direct routine maintenance, upgrades and security compliance activities performed by the service provider.
• Implement and monitor disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the data‑centre environment.
• Work with internal IT teams and business stakeholders to support new projects and initiatives.
• Participate in incident management, liaising with service management, the managed partner and application teams.
• Contribute to the strategic development of Tirlán’s central IT infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing Microsoft‑based IT infrastructure.
• Proven ability to work with external managed service providers.
