IT Infrastructure Installation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Installation Engineer to lead complex server and network deployments that support enterprise physical‑security systems. You will own end‑to‑end installation projects, configure advanced infrastructure components, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration between servers, networking gear, and security endpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Provision Dell hardware, perform advanced RAID configuration and disk‑array optimization for high‑write video storage.
• Configure iDRAC and Lifecycle Controller settings, apply Dell OpenManage firmware baselines, and deploy OS images via PXE or iDRAC Virtual Media (Windows Server and hardened Linux).
• Design VLAN‑based network segmentation and implement QoS policies on Cisco Catalyst switches to prioritize CCTV, PIDS, and intercom traffic.
• Manage PoE/PoE+ budgeting for IP cameras, door readers, and security panels.
• Harden Cisco IOS devices with ACLs, disable unnecessary services, and secure management protocols (SSH/HTTPS).
• Coordinate with network engineers and physical‑security installers to validate port activation, device‑to‑server communication, and overall network readiness.
• Conduct validation testing (bandwidth saturation, latency, physical‑layer checks) and produce detailed As‑Built documentation.
• Provide 24×7 technical support, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for medium‑complexity issues.
• Deliver weekly project status updates and maintain accurate asset‑management records.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with proven experience in server and network installations for security environments.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.
• Willingness to provide on‑call support in a globally distributed setting.
