IT Operations & Cybersecurity Lead

About the role

We are recruiting for an experienced IT professional to lead IT support operations and cybersecurity for a growing organisation. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for delivering high‑quality IT services while ensuring the security and resilience of the IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a busy Level 1 & 2 Service Desk and end‑user support function.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and endpoint management.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including Microsoft Defender and MFA.
• Support Windows desktop/server environments, Exchange Online, Group Policy, and core networking services.
• Drive service improvements, business continuity, and IT security best practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 4 years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Windows administration experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender, endpoint security, and IT service management (ITIL).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel within Ireland.
