IT Project Manager (Hybrid, Galway)

About the role

We are a growing consultancy in the west of Ireland supporting financial‑services clients on IT, risk and regulatory projects. The IT Project Manager will lead hands‑on, technically focused projects across infrastructure, systems and migrations, working closely with both clients and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end IT projects, including infrastructure changes, system upgrades, cloud and on‑prem migrations, regulatory change and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Collaborate directly with clients and technical teams to drive delivery and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Manage project timelines, risks and deliverables, providing proactive oversight rather than just reporting.
• Support projects tied to IT risk, resilience and regulatory compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering IT projects (or a senior IT Business Analyst transitioning to project management).
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, networks and systems.
• Background in technical projects such as migrations or implementations.
• Ability to own delivery, not merely coordinate activities.
• Strong vendor‑management experience.
• Nice to have: experience in financial services or other regulated environments and familiarity with frameworks such as DORA, NIS2 or ISO 27001.
