IT Support Engineer – Hybrid (Cork)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our growing team in Cork. The role combines remote break‑fix support with on‑site client work, offering a varied, client‑facing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily remote break‑fix support and resolve incidents via the internal ticketing system.
• Perform on‑site and remote installations of IT, audio‑visual, and print equipment.
• Troubleshoot network issues to ensure smooth client system operation.
• Maintain and configure anti‑virus solutions across client environments.
• Manage client IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, servers, laptops, and networks.
• Administer Active Directory – user accounts, group policies, and authentication.
• Collaborate with the sales team to recommend technical solutions and installation approaches.
• Log time and activities accurately for billing and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven IT support experience (3+ years preferred).
• Solid knowledge of network troubleshooting and IT systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Office applications, including Excel.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and network management tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage remote tasks.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field desirable.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
