IT Support Engineer – L1/L2 (Clonmel, Ireland)

About the role

PFH Technology Group is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its onsite team in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. You will deliver L1 and L2 support for desktop, hardware and software issues while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1 and L2 support for desktops, hardware, software and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Prioritise and manage help‑desk tickets in line with service‑delivery procedures.
• Administer user accounts and permissions using Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot Windows accounts, mailboxes and application issues.
• Install, configure and support PCs, peripherals, operating systems and applications.
• Manage shared folders, security permissions, PST and data requests.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for hardware, software and print device support.
• Provide guidance on ICT policies, data security and end‑user requests.
• Collaborate with local and national infrastructure teams to resolve recurring issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support or Technical Support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and take ownership of issues.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Ability to install, configure and support PCs, peripherals and applications.
