IT Support Engineer – Level 2

About the role

PFH Technology is seeking a Level 2 IT Support Engineer to join its on‑site team in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork. The role involves ensuring the stability and performance of the client’s in‑house computer systems and network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support Windows Server environments, including backups and storage solutions.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory services.
• Provide hardware support – roll‑out, upgrades, repairs and printer management.
• Implement and monitor IT security policies.
• Update and maintain IT process documentation.
• Maintain database software and perform regular system backups.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Serve as the primary on‑site contact for all IT queries.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2008/2012, Exchange 2010/2013, VMware and Active Directory.
• Experience with storage technologies, Oracle SAN and LAN networking.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Own transport is essential.
• Degree in Computer Science, BIS or related discipline preferred; pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
