Junior Buyer – Procurement of Packaging & Ingredients

About the role

The Junior Buyer will support the procurement of packaging and ingredients, ensuring that the right materials are available to meet production schedules while maintaining quality, cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders, receipts and invoice queries for assigned categories.
• Monitor supplier performance, service levels and key procurement KPIs.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data, including supplier scorecards, Bills of Materials and product set‑up information.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Technical, NPD and Finance teams to support production planning and new product set‑up.
• Help manage stock risk, obsolescence and supply‑demand alignment for packaging and ingredients.
• Drive cost‑saving projects, tendering, sourcing initiatives and process improvements.
• Support inventory optimisation to reduce waste and excess stock.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, buying or a similar FMCG role.
• Knowledge of packaging or ingredients is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced production environment.
