Junior Data Scientist – Insights & Strategy

About the role

Join Musgrave’s Insights & Strategy team as a Junior Data Scientist, working at the crossroads of consumer insight, customer analytics and data science. In this 12‑month hybrid contract you will help turn raw data into actionable intelligence that guides strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a data and analytics champion, enhancing analytical approaches, storytelling and insight generation.
• Identify data gaps and opportunities to deepen consumer and market understanding.
• Connect the team to emerging analytics tools and capabilities within the Advanced Analytics Hub.
• Integrate consumer research, customer behaviour and market data to produce actionable insights.
• Combine internal and external data sources to spot emerging trends, opportunities and risks.
• Apply analytical and statistical techniques to quantify behaviours and support strategic decisions.
• Process, cleanse and validate data to ensure robust analysis.
• Develop foresight models that predict future consumer and customer trends.
• Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and translate findings into clear recommendations, presentations and data stories.
• Explore AI and emerging technologies to enhance analytical outcomes.
