Junior Pension Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Pension Consultant to join our Business Development team. The role focuses on engaging pension scheme members, delivering education on retirement options, and supporting the promotion of pension‑related benefits. This is an ideal position for candidates with experience in pensions, financial services, or employee benefits who enjoy presenting and building relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging presentations and workshops to pension scheme members, both in‑person and online.
• Explain pension benefits, retirement options, and scheme features in clear, simple language.
• Support member‑engagement initiatives across multiple pension schemes.
• Respond to member queries and provide guidance after events.
• Promote Additional Voluntary Contributions and encourage participation where appropriate.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and consistent communications.
• Adapt presentations and messaging for different audience groups.
• Assist in creating presentation materials and member communications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of pension legislation, industry developments, and scheme rules.
• Achieve activity and engagement targets set by the Business Development team.

Required profile

• QFA qualification or equivalent.
• Strong presentation and public‑speaking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
• Experience in pensions, financial services, employee benefits, or a related sector.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
