Junior Project Engineer – Utilities (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of capital projects on a busy manufacturing site. This position offers hands‑on experience in utilities‑focused CapEx projects, working alongside experienced engineers and cross‑functional teams in a live production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of utilities‑related CapEx projects from scope definition through execution and handover.
• Track project scope, budget, quality, and timelines, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Gain practical exposure to HVAC, chilled water, LTHW, drainage, and water systems, supporting installation, commissioning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors on site and facilitate communication between engineering, operations, and external partners.
• Work with operations teams to minimise disruption during project execution and support integration of new systems into existing infrastructure.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) procedures, support permit‑to‑work systems, and assist with project documentation and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of engineering or project support experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or a regulated environment (placements or internships considered).
• Strong willingness to learn and develop within a project environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team.
