Junior Software Engineer – Cloud SaaS & AI‑augmented Development

About the role

Join Trimble’s Owner & Public Sector division as a Junior Software Engineer and help shape the digital backbone of critical public infrastructure. You will work on cloud‑based SaaS applications, leveraging AI‑augmented tools to accelerate code delivery and improve the product development life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Use coding assistants and AI agents to write clean code, generate tests, and produce documentation efficiently.
• Build, test, and deploy new features for cloud platforms in a sprint‑based, Agile environment.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Senior Engineers in discovery sessions, rapidly prototyping ideas with AI tools.
• Integrate AI agents and automation into CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual effort and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with .NET Core, C#, SQL Server or with Node.js, Java, PostgreSQL.
• Solid foundation in React or Angular, unit testing, and version control.
• Interest in or experience with coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Bonus: experience in Agile/Scrum teams and knowledge of public infrastructure workflows.
