Kitchen Porter – Full & Part‑time

About the role

The Talbot Hotel Clonmel is looking for enthusiastic Kitchen Porters to join our award‑winning hospitality team. You will work across a range of shifts, including mid‑week and weekends, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of hygiene in all kitchen, larder, and storage areas in line with hotel and regulatory requirements.
• Wash, clean, and store pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to the cleaning schedule.
• Manage waste disposal, empty bins, and keep rubbish skip areas tidy.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks for kitchen and storage areas as scheduled.
• Store cleaning tools, brushes, and detergents in designated areas.
• Wear protective clothing when handling hazardous materials and report any damaged equipment to the senior chef.
• Support fire, safety, and health‑and‑safety regulations, reporting incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Team‑player with a flexible attitude and availability for mid‑week and weekend shifts.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to adhere to company policies, health‑and‑safety standards, and customer‑service expectations.
