Kitchen Porter – Fully Flexible

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Porter to join the culinary team at Lyrath Estate Hotel, a 5‑star property on the outskirts of Kilkenny. The role offers fully flexible working hours and the chance to develop within a busy, high‑standard kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HACCP standards throughout the kitchen and store areas.
• Clean and disinfect work surfaces, tools, knives, and equipment daily.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations and pot‑scrubbing stations.
• Support the culinary team by ensuring all kitchen areas remain tidy and ready for service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report any issues promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong work ethic, flexibility and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow training provided.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP standards.
