Kitchen Porter – Fully Flexible Shift

About the role

Lyrath Estate Hotel, a 5‑star luxury property on the outskirts of Kilkenny City, is seeking a motivated Kitchen Porter to join its culinary team. The role is fully flexible, allowing you to work varied shifts while supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HACCP standards alongside the culinary team.
• Ensure the kitchen and store rooms are cleaned and disinfected at all times.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations and pot‑scrubbing stations.
• Wash and disinfect tables, tools, knives and other kitchen equipment.
• Uphold all performance and delivery standards within the Kitchen department.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Hard‑working, fully flexible and reliable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn; no prior experience required as full training will be provided.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Operation of dishwashing machines.
• Use of hand‑wash and pot‑scrubbing stations.
• General kitchen cleaning equipment handling.
