About the role
The Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to support the culinary team across all hotel outlets. You will ensure a steady supply of clean dishes, glassware, and cookware while maintaining a tidy and safe kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and clean the dishwashing machine, ensuring a continuous flow of clean items.
- Collect, wash, and store dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, and pans for all hotel outlets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, floors, and storage areas by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
- Monitor waste levels, empty bins, and dispose of waste according to hygiene standards.
- Assist chefs by placing cleaned pots and pans in the line and keeping work areas free of debris.
- Report any breakages or equipment issues to the Head Chef promptly.
Required profile
- Legal right to work past 11 pm and flexible to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or bar kitchen environment.
- Ability to follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures consistently.
