Laboratory Analyst

About the role

Pinewood Healthcare is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join its GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing team. The successful candidate will support analytical testing, method development and validation while adhering to GLP/GMP and health‑and‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake ongoing training for laboratory, GLP/GMP and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Perform development and validation analyses as directed by supervisors.
• Prepare, label and document reagents and standards required for testing.
• Provide test data and results to the Laboratory Supervisor and report any deviations or out‑of‑specification results.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment and promptly report equipment problems.
• Remove expired reagents and ensure proper disposal.
• When fully trained, train and mentor less‑experienced analysts on methods and instruments.
• Assist with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of cGMP, health‑and‑safety and COSHH regulations.
• Excellent technical writing, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, regulated manufacturing environment.

• Experience with HPLC analysis.
• Experience with GC analysis.
• Method development and validation techniques.
• Laboratory instrument operation.
