About the role

Citi’s Investor Services division in Dublin is seeking a visionary back‑end engineering leader to shape the next generation of custody, fund accounting and asset‑servicing applications. As a Vice President‑level Lead Backend Developer you will combine strategic technical ownership with hands‑on development using a modern cloud‑native stack.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and implementation of scalable, resilient full‑stack applications.
• Provide technical mentorship, code reviews and guidance to mid‑level developers and analysts.
• Develop and enforce coding, testing, debugging and implementation standards.
• Design real‑time data processing solutions using Apache Kafka and related streaming technologies.
• Champion containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
