Lead DevOps Engineer – Java/J2EE Integration

About the role

We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the delivery of digital initiatives and secure payment solutions for a multinational financial services client. The role combines hands‑on technical execution with architectural oversight across a hybrid environment in Dublin.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of digital initiatives and payment solutions.
• Design, develop and secure applications, ensuring robust cybersecurity and certificate management.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines on Linux and Windows using Ansible Tower and Jenkins.
• Automate deployment processes and support containerised micro‑service architectures.
• Collaborate with global teams, business partners and third‑party vendors to integrate solutions.
• Navigate complex enterprise environments to streamline processes and deliver high‑profile projects.
• Manage database platforms such as Oracle, SQL and MongoDB.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of senior‑level experience in DevOps within blue‑chip or enterprise settings.
• Proven background in Core Java, J2EE and Spring development.
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools (Ansible Tower, Jenkins) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience deploying applications on both Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, certificate management and secure development practices.
• Experience working with external vendors and evaluating third‑party solutions.
• Familiarity with banking, treasury or payment workflows is highly preferred.
