Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

Musgrave is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join its L&D team on a field‑based, fixed‑term assignment covering the west of Ireland. You will partner with regional managers, retail partners and store owners to design, deliver and evaluate training programmes that enhance customer service and leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Regional Managers and Retail Partners to provide tailored training and coaching to store owners.
• Coordinate and deliver on‑site Customer Service Training for retail teams.
• Advise owners and managers on tools and techniques to exceed customer expectations and grow their business.
• Support SuperValu and Centra retailers in driving positive cultural change.
• Deliver on‑site Leadership and Management Training covering feedback, coaching and communication skills.
• Assist store owners and managers in conducting training needs analyses and creating learning plans via the Musgrave Institute.
• Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to promote continuous L&D improvement.
• Provide guidance on career development, employee engagement and overall L&D strategy.
• Assess regional service levels and report performance using mystery shopper audits and internal assessments.
• Support the rollout of Musgrave’s new Digital Learning Platform and contribute to HR projects across brands.

Required profile

• Strong coaching and facilitation abilities with a talent for engaging diverse audiences.
• Genuine interest in the retail sector and a passion for delivering great customer experiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to large groups.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a training‑related role.
• Previous experience in a Learning & Development focused position.
