About the role

The Learning & Development Lead partners with business leaders and subject‑matter experts to identify current and future workforce capability needs. This role designs and delivers strategic learning solutions that build the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to meet organisational objectives. It also ensures that learning programmes are aligned with quality standards and the evolving needs of the disability services sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse and prioritise workforce capability gaps in line with organisational strategy and service delivery needs.
  • Lead the design, development and continuous improvement of learning solutions using classroom, virtual, blended, self‑directed and workplace methodologies.
  • Commission and collaborate with internal experts and external providers to create high‑quality learning programmes and resources.
  • Maintain and regularly review learning pathways, skills frameworks and development initiatives to provide clear career progression routes.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in employee development outcomes.

Required profile

  • Third‑level qualification (NFQ8) in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • MCIPD qualification is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or Organisational Development.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and subject‑matter experts.
