Lecturer in Interaction Design (Full‑time, Dublin)

About the role

Griffith College is seeking a full‑time Lecturer in Interaction Design to join its Dublin 8 campus. The successful candidate will teach and develop modules covering interaction design, user experience, interface design and digital media.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and regularly update interaction design and related modules.
• Prepare and give lectures, lead workshops and studio‑based classes.
• Supervise student projects, assess coursework and provide feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic committees.
• Support programme quality assurance and maintain industry‑relevant practice.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in interaction design, user‑centered methods and usability principles.
• Experience teaching or mentoring learners in higher education or industry.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner‑centered pedagogy and continuous professional development.
• Minimum of an honours degree in Interaction Design, UX, Digital Media or a related field; postgraduate qualification or teaching certification is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or equivalents.
