Lecturer or Senior Lecturer – Behavioural Neuroscience

About the role

The School of Psychology at UNSW is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Behavioural Neuroscience. This full‑time, fixed‑term (2‑year) position is on a Convertible Tenure Track and will involve both teaching and research responsibilities within a vibrant, inclusive campus community.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and assess undergraduate and postgraduate courses in behavioural neuroscience and related areas.
• Develop innovative learning activities and resources, including experimental teaching approaches.
• Supervise student research projects and provide one‑to‑one academic support.
• Conduct high‑quality experimental research, publish findings, and secure external funding.
• Contribute to departmental service, curriculum development, and community engagement.

Required profile

• PhD in behavioural neuroscience or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly research with national or international impact.
• Experience teaching at the university level and a clear teaching philosophy.
• Commitment to inclusive and student‑centred learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic team.
