Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Rural Phase Coordinator

About the role

This part‑time position (3.5 hrs/week) is based at the Rural Clinical Campus in Albury, NSW. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality medical education and coordinate Phase 2 of the undergraduate medicine program, supporting student learning, clinical placements and assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum content and assessments for the designated phase of the medicine program.
• Coordinate clinical placement schedules and liaise with Local Health Districts and Primary Health Networks.
• Develop and implement rurally focused learning activities and support student projects.
• Maintain partnerships with faculty, health services and community stakeholders.
• For Senior Lecturer level, provide leadership in curriculum development and drive innovation in teaching practice.

Required profile

• Medical degree (BMedMD, MBBS or equivalent) and Fellowship of a Specialist Medical College (e.g., ACEM, ACRRM, RACP, RACGP, RANZCOG, RACS).
• Current, unrestricted registration to practice medicine in New South Wales.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in clinical medicine and a commitment to rural medical education.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in pedagogy and disciplinary knowledge.
• For Senior Lecturer level, proven leadership and a record of academic or professional achievement.

What we offer

• Academic Level B or C remuneration ($133,065‑$161,619 pro rata) plus 17 % superannuation and clinical loading.
• Fixed‑term contract until 30 June 2027.
