Lift Engineer – Limerick

About the role

Orona, a leading European provider of vertical transportation solutions, is seeking a qualified Lift Engineer to join its Limerick team on a permanent basis. The role involves maintaining and servicing lifts and escalators for a diverse client base, ensuring safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and regular service visits on Orona and competitor lift equipment.
• Respond to lift breakdown call‑outs, performing minor repairs and restoring service promptly.
• Meet agreed customer response times and build strong relationships with clients.
• Provide updates to the Service Manager and participate in the regional 24/7 standby/call‑out rota.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across a portfolio of lifting equipment, working independently.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an engineer in the lift industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Effective time‑management and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Minimum qualification: Electrical Engineering degree and/or NVQ Level 3.
• Valid Irish or European driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
