About the role
This locum position combines clinical consultancy in obstetrics and gynaecology with a senior lecturing appointment. The role is split equally between Galway University Hospital and Portiuncula University Hospital, offering a diverse environment for patient care and academic involvement.
Key responsibilities
- Provide consultant‑level obstetric and gynaecological services across both hospitals.
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as a senior lecturer.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical governance.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Required profile
- Full specialist registration in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Experience in both clinical practice and medical education.
