About the role
The Logistics Coordinator will support Kilsaran’s headquarters in Dunboyne by planning and executing transport and delivery schedules. You will act as the hub between production, drivers and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the most efficient daily transport and delivery plans.
- Process orders received via telephone, email, fax, face‑to‑face or the sales team.
- Prepare delivery dockets, allocate drivers and monitor dispatches.
- Guarantee the correct products and quantities reach each customer within agreed time‑frames.
- Maintain daily shipping records and related paperwork for payment transactions.
- Communicate continuously with drivers, customers, production and sales teams.
- Monitor and achieve targets for truck utilisation, cost control and reduction of empty journeys.
- Manage driver working hours, breaks and rest periods in line with regulations.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of systems and detailed administration.
- Excellent prioritisation, scheduling and logical thinking abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a dispatch office or customer‑service environment is a plus.
- Confidence to raise issues and suggest process improvements.
Required skills
- Knowledge of logistics management systems.
