Logistics Operative – Full‑time at Cork Depot

About the role

DACHSER is seeking a motivated Logistics Operative to join its Cork depot. You will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accurate scanning, safe loading, and maintaining a tidy work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Scan and off‑load inbound freight, completing all required turn‑arounds.
• Scan and load outbound freight for dispatch.
• Liaise with customer service and planning teams to coordinate movements.
• Handle all goods with care to achieve zero damage.
• Follow company health & safety policies and ADR/DG regulations at all times.
• Maintain general housekeeping within the department.
• Support the Contract Logistics division as needed.
• Complete incident and discrepancy reports promptly.

Required profile

• Valid forklift licence (essential).
• Reach truck licence (desirable).
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a logistics environment.
• Strong communication skills and excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience handling dangerous goods and pharmaceutical products (desirable).
