Logistics Planner – Global Ocean Freight & Export Documentation

About the role

The Logistics Planner will join Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition’s supply chain team at the Macroom spray‑drying plant. You will be responsible for coordinating global ocean freight shipments of infant formula base powder, ensuring all export and import documentation meets customer SLAs and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage export and import documentation in line with customs regulations and Department of Agriculture requirements.
• Coordinate all ocean freight shipments from order placement to final delivery, working with carriers, hauliers, factory staff and 3PL warehouses.
• Provide carriers with short‑ and long‑term freight forecasts and monitor shipment performance against KPIs.
• Liaise with the Quality Department to secure timely release of goods and with receiving factories to maintain high customer service levels.
• Raise logistics purchase orders, process GRNs and support three‑way invoice matching.
• Act as the local SAP APO SNP key user, maintaining master data and supporting related logistics projects.
• Measure customer service levels, handle logistics‑related complaints and report inventory status.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain planning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and safety culture.
• Proven ability to manage documentation and compliance in an international trade environment.

Required skills

• SAP APO (Supply Chain Planning) – local module and master‑data management.
