Machine Operator – Production Line (Multiple Opportunities)

About the role

Lir Chocolates is seeking motivated Machine Operators to join its Navan factory. You will work on advanced chocolate production lines, ensuring smooth operation, high quality output, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery according to SOPs, safety, hygiene and quality requirements.
• Perform machine start‑ups, shut‑downs, changeovers and routine checks.
• Monitor performance, record rejects and downtime, and report any issues.
• Carry out product quality checks to confirm specifications are met.
• Prepare machines for the next shift, including set‑up, tempering and packing requirements.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and audit‑ready work area.
• Document machine faults or defects and complete all production and quality paperwork accurately.

Required profile

• Good mechanical understanding of machines and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with others and keep work areas organised.
• Comfortable performing basic counts, checks and calculations.
• Clear English communication skills for paperwork and handovers.

What we offer

• Permanent full‑time contract (40 hours/week) with a shift pattern Monday‑Thursday 06:00‑16:30.
• Hourly pay ranging from €14.96 to €15.30, with potential increases after 3 and 6 months.
