Maintenance Electrician

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join ALS Minerals’ European hub in Loughrea, Co. Galway. You will be responsible for keeping plant and laboratory equipment operating safely and efficiently, supporting our geochemical sample preparation and analytical services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant and machinery.
• Carry out repairs and corrective maintenance as directed by supervisors.
• Complete daily/weekly maintenance logs and ISO‑17025 records.
• Report unsafe equipment or practices to the Health and Safety Officer and implement safety improvements.
• Conduct site inspections, identify defects and ensure timely repairs.
• Assist the maintenance department and project facilities team under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Required profile

• Qualified or time‑served electrician with industrial experience.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, staff and external parties.
• Willingness to work overtime, evenings, nights or weekends as required.
• Full on‑the‑job training will be provided for candidates without extensive maintenance background.
