Maintenance Equipment Engineer – 24/7 Shift (Kildare, Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Equipment Engineer to join a global leader in advanced materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. Based onsite in Kildare, you will support installation, maintenance and technical support of complex electro‑mechanical equipment, working on a 24/7 four‑cycle shift roster.

Key responsibilities

• Install, qualify, maintain and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, plasma, gas and electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues using digital analytics tools and interpret schematics.
• Provide on‑site customer support to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Full, unrestricted working rights in Ireland (Stamp 4 or equivalent) and a full driving licence.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 shift rotation and travel internationally for training.
• Technical qualification (ideally Level 7) or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical, electrical or electronic environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
