Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Maintenance Manager to lead all machinery, facilities and preventative maintenance activities at our North Dublin site. You will be responsible for maximising equipment uptime, ensuring strict safety compliance and driving efficient operational performance through a skilled team of technicians and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a multi‑skilled team of mechanical and electrical maintenance technicians, managing shift rosters, training and performance reviews.
• Implement, optimise and oversee the site’s Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to shift from reactive to predictive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex equipment failures, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Source, negotiate and supervise external service contractors, ensuring work meets site standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Irish statutory regulations, HSA guidelines and internal EHS protocols.
• Manage the maintenance OPEX and CAPEX budgets, track spare‑parts inventory and optimise spend.

Required profile

• Trade qualification or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Background in high‑volume manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, FMCG or heavy industrial logistics is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance expertise.
