Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager will lead the ESS site maintenance team, ensuring plant equipment runs reliably and safely. You will supervise technicians, drive continuous improvement, and support manufacturing operations with timely maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily and weekly work of maintenance technicians to meet production goals.
• Provide shift coverage for the Manufacturing Department at all times.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and cGMP regulations.
• Mentor and train staff on facilities, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
• Implement Lean tools and best‑practice systems to improve team performance.
• Analyse plant downtime, develop action plans, and increase equipment uptime.
• Coordinate with client shift leads, other departments, and external contractors.
• Maintain accurate SOPs, policies, and change‑control documentation.
• Manage shift rosters, annual leave, and conduct GEMBA walks for SOP compliance.
• Use the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track KPIs and generate reports.

Required profile

• Engineering or trade qualification relevant to plant maintenance.
• Proven experience supervising maintenance technicians in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, health & safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team.
• Excellent problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement mindset.
