Maintenance Planner

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join a fast‑growing renewable energy company in Roscommon. You will support day‑to‑day plant operations while driving reliability improvements and future expansion of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the site’s preventative maintenance programme.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability.
• Maintain maintenance records, procedures and technical documentation.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory and stock levels.
• Monitor plant performance using the SCADA control system and identify faults or performance issues.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers.
• Support daily maintenance tasks across the facility.
• Supervise two Plant Operatives and collaborate closely with the operations team.
• Assist continuous‑improvement projects as the site expands.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering, or equivalent maintenance planning experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, utilities, renewable energy or similar industrial environments.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and planning methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with pumps, motors, valves, mixers or other rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with SCADA or other plant monitoring systems is advantageous.
• Strong organisational, planning and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and maintenance management software.
• Full driving licence.
