Maintenance Project Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Project Manager will lead planned and reactive maintenance initiatives across a portfolio of client sites for a leading international engineering and construction specialist. You will act as the main liaison between clients, service providers, and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage suppliers and service providers, ensuring contractual obligations are met safely and efficiently.
• Serve as the primary client contact, delivering exceptional service and resolving facilities‑related issues.
• Lead and coordinate client maintenance meetings, tracking actions and follow‑ups.
• Plan and execute maintenance projects, fit‑outs, and reactive works while removing obstacles.
• Prepare quotations for reactive works, call‑outs, and additional client requests.
• Conduct site inspections during complex maintenance activities and assess further requirements.
• Assist in preparing and managing operational and maintenance budgets.
• Monitor expenditure, process purchase orders, invoices, and project cost variations, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to review RAMS and participate in an out‑of‑hours emergency call rota.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Project Manager, Facilities Manager or similar role within facilities management, construction or building services.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and hard‑services providers.
• Experience handling maintenance budgets, purchase orders, invoices and project financials.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational abilities to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required.
