Maintenance Supervisor / Coordinator

About the role

Tirlán, a world‑class food and nutrition co‑operative, is looking for an ambitious Maintenance Supervisor / Coordinator to lead the scheduling and execution of all plant maintenance activities at its Virginia, Co facility. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will act as the primary link between the maintenance team, external contractors, and other plant departments.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety rules, PPE requirements and SOPs.
• Receive, screen and prioritize work requests from all departments.
• Schedule preventative (PM) and demand (DM) maintenance into the production plan, coordinating downtime windows with production.
• Allocate work orders to tradespeople, manage external contractors and secure necessary permits, tools and parts.
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance history, update the maintenance system with new assets and manage change‑control requests.
• Conduct field walk‑downs to identify hazards and ensure safe execution of tasks.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of plant SOPs and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities in an industrial environment.
• Ability to liaise effectively with production, engineering, stores and external service providers.
