Maintenance Technician – Cleanroom & Production

About the role

Elis Textile Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its Glanmire operation. You will ensure the reliability, safety and regulatory compliance of production, clean‑room and plant equipment in a highly controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production, instrumentation, control systems and clean‑room equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Support clean‑room compliance by maintaining equipment to required control standards.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of new equipment.
• Work closely with production, quality and operations teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, site procedures and regulatory requirements, including end‑of‑shift fire walks.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required.

Required profile

• Recognised trade qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment; clean‑room or regulated experience is an advantage.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• High attention to detail with a strong safety awareness.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
