Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures reliable operation and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment used to produce medical devices. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support new equipment installations, and uphold GMP standards to minimise downtime and protect product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on production and facility equipment according to schedule.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical faults.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to limit production disruption.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automated systems such as conveyor lines, vision inspection stations, assembly and packaging equipment, sensors, motors, gearboxes, and basic PLC‑controlled devices.
• Perform routine calibration checks and complete all maintenance documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring full GMP and SOP compliance.
• Identify reliability improvements, participate in root‑cause analysis, and contribute to CAPA and lean initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, follow lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures, and promote a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and document work accurately.
