Management Accountant

About the role

The Management Accountant will provide accurate, timely financial insight for the Texturised Butter (TX) business, supporting decision‑making and overall performance. You will own month‑end reporting, cash‑flow analysis and partner closely with commercial and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including gross‑margin and overhead analysis for the TX business.
• Ensure gross‑margin reporting reflects actual purchase costs and stock values.
• Support the commercial team with reporting on outstanding orders versus inventory balances, volumes and values.
• Reconcile all balance‑sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Manage supplier payments within agreed terms and collaborate with accounts receivable to secure timely debtor payments.
• Produce monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets and five‑year plans.
• Analyse cash‑flow components (profit, stock, debtors, creditors) to improve forecasting accuracy.
• Work with production sites to understand processes, yields and costs.
• Identify and implement improvements to SAP reporting (stock, gross margin, freight).
• Complete ad‑hoc statutory returns as required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified management accountant with a proven record of accurate month‑end reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with ERP and reporting tools such as SAP and QlikSense.
• Commercially aware with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Strong analytical ability, capable of interpreting complex data and meeting tight deadlines.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to engage across the full finance spectrum, from transactional tasks to senior‑level reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to influence finance, commercial and operational stakeholders.
• Full clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites as needed.
